Characters in Game (previously too): You're not supposed to know about the existence of my time machine!
CHARACTER INFORMATION
Name: Fran Madaraki
Canon: Franken Fran
Gender: Female
Age: Seems around 16 to 18
Suitability: Fran’s origins are purposefully never discussed in the manga, so it’s not quite known when she was constructed, but she has the looks and general maturity of a high school student. Several chapters also have her interacting with her classmates, applying her skills when requested, but no one ever seems to question her appearance or even the insane things that she is doing.
Species: Human Construct
Canon Point: I’ll be taking her from late in her manga or possibly at the end. The whole thing is a series of oneshots with some continuity between them, so really all that changes is her knowledge base.
History: Due to the oneshot and fairly non linear nature of the manga, as well as its choice not to elaborate on her origins, I’ll be going over it more in personality. I’m providing wikipedia and tvtropes links however:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Franken_Fran
http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Manga/FrankenFran?from=Main.FrankenFran
Personality: Fran is an interesting case in terms of personality. She is a bit of a ditz, often letting her mind wander when nothing else is going on. In fact, she does so literally in one chapter, letting her head rest on a windowsill to admire the night sky while her body works at the lab table. When at work, she is collected and professional, analyzing everything she can and trying to add to the greater progression of scientific knowledge. She has a great deal of medical skill and knowhow, and is often working towards what she perceives as the happiness of her patient.
The thing about Fran though is she just doesn't understand humanity. She has been programmed/taught by her father to preserve life at any cost. She has gone to extremes to reach this end, such as attaching bodies together into a horrific mass to save them...but they're alive. She even put a shock chip inside her assassin sister's brain for a while to try to suppress her own homicidal defensive instincts. Fran is often blunt about concepts that would horrify normal people, and seems very detached about the results of her experiments and surgeries.
But the true point is she simply doesn't get it. She doesn't fully understand the darker sides of humanity such as stalking or murder beyond the clinical definitions because such ideas have no place to register in her mind. She has the innocence of a 5 year old with the skill of a master surgeon. At the end of one chapter, after dispensing cosmetic surgery freely and without question in her school she is asked "What if they regret it?" to which she responds "Why would they? They're all adults. They can take responsibility for their decisions..." and the thing is that she honestly believes this.
She is not the aggressive sort of mad scientist. She may go out and rob graves, but she will not kill or assault people for her experiments. That being said, her experiments are often quite drastic in nature, and have been known to get others caught up in them. She’s basically a medical monkey’s paw: she can grant any wish you have, but chances are it won’t end up the way you wanted or were hoping. Still, it’s not all bad endings and a lot of the time things tend to work out in the end...mostly...maybe...kinda.
Abilities/Weaknesses: While Fran has a great deal of medical knowledge and skills, she also has the major perks of being a Frankenstein’s Monster style construct. She’s able to attach and remove limbs and organs as needed for different situations with no lasting harm. There’s even a chapter where she’s nearly decapitated via garrote wire and reattaches her own head. There’s another chapter where she puts her head aside to stargaze while her body keeps working. As for the Oglaf setting, well that just provides morehorrifying potential.

In a world of sexual surrealism and casually indulged depravity, things seemed almost business as usual for Fran. Since her arrive she had managed to keep herself rather busy under the patronage of the Mistress. The tasks she was being given certainly had a more sexual twist than the previous work she had been doing, but she had been able to take everything in stride. Milking the ponies for example: sure, some of them might be human in costumes, and sometimes the jizz would get everywhere, or one pony would be more aggressive than the others and manage to get its cock into one of her holes, but really that was the only way the job was different than it had been back home.
Even her punishments seemed to go over her head. The Mistress had not been entirely pleased by how dutiful Fran was being in her work. That wasn't the point! Her trip down to see the nurses in the dungeon didn't quite frighten her into realizing her position either. By the time the guard came down to retrieve her, Fran herself was operating on one of the nurses, showing them some new techniques and tricks. She had learned a great deal from them as well, but she had been successfully adamant in refusing to let them work on her own body. It wasn't any fear of what they would do, she just didn't want outsiders meddling in the work that the Professor had done on her.
Still, no one stays in this kingdom forever without getting drawn into the swing of things. After some months in the castle it was not uncommon to find Fran in far skimpier clothing, stains left by recent patients and projects on her labcoat. She was even taking the time to indulge herself in personal pleasures when her off time allowed, though if asked she'd still say it was simply for research purposes. She had even built up a collection of toys and tools that she favored using in her personal use and study.
"Now don't worry, this shouldn't hurt you too much~"
In her arms was some sort of squirming harness meant to be fitted onto someone's limb. The way the tentacles at one end of it were writhing around though left some question as to its purpose. She approached the man slung up on the Saint Andrew's Cross in front of her who was staring at the device with as much fear as she was with curiosity.
"Now, the leg harness clearly has incentives to keep wearing it while the leg heals~ The purpose of the tentacles on the arm harness is a bit less clear~ We'll be testing that today~"
